Who We Are

We're not academics. We're practitioners.

We customize our conclusions and recommendations around what's practical and reasonable for each client — leveraging the work and processes already in place, and fitting the organization's capabilities.

01 — AIA, In Plain Terms

Who is AIA? A short interview.

The questions clients ask first — answered the way we'd answer them across the table.

Q.

Who is AIA?

A practitioner-led performance advisory for property and casualty insurers. Our principals have run IT, claims, operations, and data organizations from the inside — and sat on the industry boards that shape how insurers work. We're operators, not career theorists.

Q.

How are you different from other consultants?

We're not academics, and we don't hand over a generic report. We customize our conclusions and recommendations around what's practical and reasonable for each client — leveraging the work and processes already in place and fitting your organization's capabilities, rather than imposing a template.

Q.

Where do you focus?

People, processes, technology, and organization — with particular depth in process improvement and in connecting day-to-day operations to measurable performance. Data matters, but it's a means to better decisions, not the point.

Q.

What about cyber security?

It's woven through everything we do. Modernization, governance, and process work is carried out with cyber risk in mind — treated as part of the engagement, not bolted on afterward. For most organizations it's now one of the biggest operational risks on the table.

Q.

How does an engagement start?

With your questions and an honest read of where things stand today. From there we build a pragmatic roadmap your team can actually execute — focused, sequenced, and grounded in what's realistic for your people and systems.

02 — Our Story

Our roots are in the standards the industry runs on.

Agile Insurance Analytics grew out of industry standards work. Several of our principals helped lead the Object Management Group (OMG) initiative to build a standard insurance business glossary and data model(s) — the common language insurers use to describe their business and their data.

That work made something clear: the hard part isn't defining the data — it's connecting it to how an organization actually performs. Standards and models only create value when people, processes, and technology are aligned around them. Too many insurers had the data and still struggled to turn it into decisions and results.

So we built AIA as a practitioner-led advisory — people who had run IT, claims, operations, and data organizations from the inside — to do the practical work of turning standards, data, and process into measurable performance.
