Agile Insurance Analytics grew out of industry standards work. The founding members of AIA represented the nucleus of the Object Management Group (OMG) Property & Casualty Insurance Work Group, leading an international effort of more than 50 insurance carriers and technology vendors to develop a standard insurance business glossary and data model—the common language insurers use to define their business and their data.
Through this work, we observed a consistent challenge across the industry. While organizations recognized the importance of data and invested heavily in data management and analytics initiatives, many struggled to realize the expected business value. The issue was rarely the data model itself. Success depended on integrating data with an organization's business strategy, operational processes, technology, governance, culture, and people.
Those experiences demonstrated that effective data management is fundamentally a business discipline—not simply a technology initiative. Standards and data models create the foundation, but meaningful business results occur only when information is aligned with the way an organization plans, operates, measures performance, and makes decisions.
Recognizing this need, we founded Agile Insurance Analytics to help insurers bridge the gap between data, operations, and business performance. Our early engagements focused on data quality, data governance, and enterprise information management. As clients recognized that data issues were often symptoms of broader operational challenges, our work naturally expanded into process optimization, organizational effectiveness, project management, technology modernization, and strategic planning.
Nearly twenty years later, our mission remains unchanged. We help insurance and financial organizations connect strategy, operations, technology, and information to improve performance, strengthen decision-making, and deliver measurable business results.
